President's Message May 2018

Dear Brothers, Our next monthly meeting will be on Friday, May 11th starting at 8PM due to the JDJ Corp is holding its quarterly general meeting at 7PM the same night. This is done by the JDJ Corp to get more people involved in the organization. There are two, one-year terms available on the JDJ board. Please see the attached flyer of election notification. Our Immediate Past President Thomas Flynn and Past President George Anderson will continue to organize and run our Memorial Mass at St. Anastasia RC Church in Harriman with our Chaplain, Fr. Michael Keane in commemoration of Joseph D. Duelk, whose KIA Day is June 14th, 1968, and after whom our AOH Division is named in memory of. We will also honor and pray for 1st Lt. Louis E Allen whose KIA Day is June 8th, 2005 and after whom our AOH Jr. Division is named in memory of. We will be working with our Jr. Division, the LAOH, and LAOH Juniors to assist at the mass. The mass will be on Sunday, June 10th at 9:30 AM. The Bethel Woods raffle drawing will be held at our meeting, this Friday the 11th of May, please hand in all your tickets for the drawing. The AOH Division 1 golf tournament will be held Friday June 8th at the Falkirk Golf Course. 9 AM registration. 10 AM Shotgun start, scramble format. 2:30 BBQ lunch and open bar on the patio with live music by Paul Cray. $150 per golfer. Don’t golf or you’re unable to attend, sponsor the event Platinum $250, Gold $100 and Silver $50. If you have a friend who is Irish Catholic by birth or descent, and might be interested in joining, please bring them up. We are having a membership drive; if you sponsor 5 new members your dues for the following year are free. The member with most sponsorships wins an AOH three season jacket worth $75.
