On Sunday, December 19,1999 the division held a food drive for the Monroe Food Bank. The drive coordinated by Brothers Wynne and Schmitt with committee members Shea,Carey,Murray,Browne exceeded all expectations. A full pickup truck of food was collected in addition to ten hams & nine turkeys. There is no doubt that this holiday season was made better for needy families in this holiday season.
Special thanks go out to Mrs.Kathy O'Shea for the beautiful poster and to Brother John Finnegan for the flyers. Thanks also to the youngsters fullfilling their service requirements for Confirmation, Kiernan O'Shea & Danny Schmitt. Thanks also to our Chaplain, Father Carl Johnson, for the announcement at all the mass' regarding the food drive.
Please remember there are many families who depend on the food bank to supplement their daily diets. Make an extra effort to drop off any food at the hall throughout the year.
